INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION
Moodfade Machine
A machine that notices stress and offers a hug to people who feel alone.
01
Rationale
Inspired by the 52 Hz whale, the loneliest whale in the world, whose call no other whale can hear. Loneliness is common and quiet, and it changes with the weather.
02
Prototype
Over nine weeks: an installation that monitors emotion and stress and gives a simulated hug, paired with an app and an emotion report that adapts to the day's weather.
